Our holiday home 'Haus Seltschach' is located at an altitude of 680 meters in a unique location in Carinthia near the three-country point of Austria, Italy and Slovenia.
Haus Seltschach is a comfortable holiday home for 7 people plus babies, uilt with Austrian charm. The house has a modern finish and has underfloor heating, an attractive wood-burning stove, a beautiful sunny balcony, plastic tilt windows and doors and a spacious terrace with a sauna adjacent to a lovely, flowing mountain stream.
Only 50 meters from the house is the valley station 'Dreiländereck', where you can take the chairlift to go to the Drielandenpunt at 1560 meters altitude. There is also the Panorama-Mountain restaurant where you have a beautiful view over the mountains and you can walk in untouched nature for as long as you want (see photos).
Seltschach is a small, quiet village with various hiking options of moderate to heavy effort. Below Seltschach is the village of Arnoldstein, which can be seen on the signs from far away on the highway. Arnoldstein is larger and has a number of large supermarkets, such as a Spar, Billa and Lidl that you drive past to go to the house. Arnoldstein also has a number of cute eateries (pizzeria) or terraces where you can have a tasty snack and drink.
For larger shops and restaurants you can go to Villach, about 20 minutes away, where you will find large hardware stores, outlets, camping shops, garden centers and sports shops on the outskirts of the city.
Carinthia is a versatile area with snowy, cold but sunny winters and warm Italian summers. Both in summer and winter there are countless activities to experience within 30 minutes by car. Our house in Seltschach has 2 bedrooms, making it an ideal holiday home for a family of up to 7 people. The living room has a large dining table where all people can dine and a cozy wood stove to make it cozy, especially in winter. At the front is a carport that extends to the front door.
You enter the house in the hall that is adjacent to the toilet and laundry room. Through the hall you get on the ground floor, with tiled floor with underfloor heating, also access to the living room with open kitchen with ceramic hob, oven and fridge-freezer. On the other side of the house is the living room with a corner sofa and a television. Through the patio doors you walk onto the covered terrace with wood storage and the side garden with picnic table, an outdoor barrelsauna, (stone) barbecue and a view of the mountains.
1st floor: A beautiful oak staircase leads you to the landing of the first floor, which also has underfloor heating. Here are also 2 spacious bedrooms, each with a double bed with TV and closet space. One bedroom has an extra single bed. A cot is available. Both bedrooms have an adjoining, private bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. At the rear is the bedroom with a spacious balcony accessible through patio doors where you can fully enjoy the sun.
2nd floor: Via a special staircase on the landing you gain access to the 2nd floor. The stairs to the 2nd floor are less suitable for people with walking difficulties, but for children this is an adventure!
In short, a lovely villa with lots of comfort and fully equipped!

If you drive up at Arnoldstein from that moment on, follow the signs with 'Bergbahn Dreiländereck'. You then arrive at a parking lot at the chairlift, you take the first exit to the left down here. You can see the house right from the moment you take the exit Dreiländereck.
